The Interfaith Approach

An excerpt from Embracing the Anti-Christ: The Hersey of Interfaith Dialogue.

And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

1 Kings 18:21

There are numerous interfaith organizations and groups across the United States that seek to have “dialogue” with Muslims. The objective of the majority of them is not to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslims, but rather to create a social co-existence of peace and well-being. In man’s world, there would appear to be nothing wrong with that, but in God’s world, it falls far short of the Great Commission instituted by Christ for His followers.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20; author’s emphasis)

Instead of reaching out to Muslims with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, those involved in the interfaith dialogue approach have become stumbling blocks to Muslims hearing the truth of God’s salvation message. This is heresy and an abomination before the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ, who interfaithers claim to follow.

Ashamed of the Gospel. Apostle Paul, in his letter to the new Christians in Rome, wrote, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” (Romans 1:16; author’s emphasis).

Those involved in the interfaith movement give every impression that they are not only ashamed of the Gospel, but refuse to share it out of fear of offending Muslims. Once again, Apostle Paul wrote, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! (1 Corinthians 9:16; author’s emphasis). . ..

Is interfaith dialogue bringing truth—or compromise?

In Embracing the Anti-Christ: The Heresy of Interfaith Dialogue, James F. Gauss confronts one of the most controversial issues facing the modern Church.

This eye-opening book challenges popular assumptions, arguing that many well-meaning efforts at religious unity may be leading believers away from the core truths of the Gospel. Drawing from years of research and firsthand study, Gauss examines the spiritual implications of interfaith movements and asks a critical question:

Are Christians defending their faith—or diluting it?
