Dear ______,
First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for your sacrificial service to the people of Tennessee and the United States. My wife and I moved to TN in late 2020, in part, to escape the radical, liberal (and I might add, Marxist) state of MN where we lived for about 35 years.
Tennessee has been a breath of fresh conservative and Christian air that we have needed for a long time. Our only regret is that we did not move here long ago.
We are well into our 9th decade on God’s good earth, and we have seen and experience much and have a wide perspective on our nation, where we’ve been, where we are and where we just might be headed.
Although we have voted for President Trump in all his campaigns and greatly appreciate much of what he is doing to put America back on the right track, there is something that bothers us (and me as a researcher and author particularly) that I want to share quickly.
As an author of several books on Islam since 2009 and a China watcher since the Bill Clinton presidency, I am greatly concerned about President Trump’s concept of dealing with the evil dictators of the world. Despite his skill at dealmaking in the business world, everything in the real world does not and cannot be boiled down to the “Art of the Deal” when dealing with evil despots. They do not play by the same rules and have repeatedly shown that they cannot be trusted for one second.
Chief among my concerns is President Trump’s “deal” with Qatar, a known and world leader in supporting Islamic terrorism and the funding of radical Islam on our university campuses. Trump’s multi-billion-dollar deal with Qatar will supply this Islamic terrorist nation with billions in military weapons, technology and assistance. Why would he or the United States provide such aid to an enemy of Israel and the United States? This must be stopped!
Then there is President Trump’s, yet, undisclosed “deal” with Iran. Iran has repeatedly demonstrated that it cannot be trusted on any level. Trump and his advisors appear not to have a clue on what drives Islamic ideology: world conquest, lies, deception and the destruction of Islam AND the United States.
With Iran and the Arab nations of the Middle East, Trump is going down the same failed policy roads of Presidents Carter, Clinton, Bush 1 & 2, Obama and Biden. Islamic countries cannot and will not be democratized. The ideology does not permit nor support it.
President Trump has it firmly in his mind that he can civilize Iran and its leaders with the right deal that will make them and the nation “wealthy”. They are already wealthy, but it’s the destructive ideology and the hatred of non-Muslims that drives that wealth into a potential nuclear holocaust. Iran must be stopped NOW and any “deal” by Trump with them prevented.
I and millions of Americans are counting on an intelligent and constitutionally guided Congress to put a stop to President Trump’s ill-informed and misguided dealmaking with our sworn enemies and those of our ally, Israel.
PLEASE give this your immediate and utmost attention before it is too late. Below are some news links to help fill in the gaps of my concerns.
